Crossbreed MiniTuck Review For Sig P238 – Woman’s Perspective

I received my Crossbreed MiniTuck about 6 months ago. After hours of search and review reading/watching I decided to take the plunge and try out one of these popular holsters. This was the first holster I spent more than $35 on and….drumroll…I have been extremely happy! Plus it made it much easier to place an order knowing I had 2 weeks to try it out and return it if I didn’t like it. Good job on that one Crossbreed!

I was so excited when the MiniTuck finally arrived! It was like Christmas. The holster came assembled and ready to roll. I played around with the positioning of the steel clips for a while to find the cant I liked. I settled with the front clip on the second notch and the back clip on the first (from the bottom). I have worn it that way since I got it and have really liked it, however, I will probably re-visit the positioning soon to see if there is a position that is more ideal for me and my situation.

The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the packaging was the quality. Now, I am by no means a leather, Kydex, or steel expert, but I think I have a slightly more than decent eye for quality. The MiniTuck is very well made. I have since purchased a couple of other holsters for review and up until this point none of them I have tried have had Kydex as thick as the Crossbreed MiniTuck. The leather is thick as well.

At first glance in person the holster does look quite a bit different than traditional holsters. I even caught myself thinking, “Am I really going to be able to conceal this thing with my normal wardrobe?”. Well, I have found that it is very comfortable and works well with most of my clothes. I am not the type of girl to buy bigger pants to accommodate my holster. I want something that will work with my regular sized jeans and this does. I do wear comfortable t-shirts often, which makes it a bit easier, but I have also made nicer button-ups and blouses work as well. I have had no issues wearing the MiniTuck with jeans.

The only “con” I can really think of would be about the metal clips being less noticeable if possible. However, like I mentioned I should have should ordered the J Hooks to take care of this. Other than that I really wouldn’t change much about the holster. It is comfortable, sturdy and conceals well with good percentage of my outfits.

Because my mission is to provide complete concealed carry solutions, more tools will be launching soon to help you visual folks get an idea of this and other holsters and carry options.

Overall, I love my MiniTuck. I am glad that I was fortunate enough to have this purchase be only my second in my journey to find a concealed carry system that works for me. While I am still discovering more options and figuring out what I like, the MiniTuck has definitely earned its place in my system.

One thing I was quite sure about was not having a strap to secure the gun in place. I had never owned a Kydex holster before, so this was new to me. I realized as soon as I got the MiniTuck that I would not need anything else to keep my gun in place.
