Ladywriter

I wrote this song in may but I didn’t have all the lyrics complete just a rough sketch , this weekend all the words fell to the right place.. Some heavy phase and fuzz guitar propel the song.
I used my Epiphone korina Flying V 58 for this..

A special song for a special friend, a little tribute to my rock & roll twin. I hope you like this one Marcella and…happy Birthday! have a good one, I have a drink on you…cheers © picture Marcella Morrison (I did some artwork on this but I reckon it’s ok by you M.)

She can live without you
& dates who don’t smell so good
killing expectations
for those who really understood;
she wears her rebel perfume
costumed gem ball lips
there’s slight chance of slipping
On these vertical limits
she needs something to say
to the gods in death defying ways
But how about tomorrow?
and maybe she’ll say
that light is still darkness
OD’ed on the game
when you’re left
outside in the rain

chorus

She’s no ladywriter
burning her tattoos
with some acid from a riser
pain is not exclusive,
and nothing new that frightens her
Waking up in blood from the past,
broken smiles….
windows and tiles

Numbers paralyzed her
burned her Martin boots
with some fuel from a lighter
old vibes that come to use
and try to suicide her now
With the things behind the sun
she’ll get along
right on all the time

She drinks her 4loko
kills a rapping star
and another cockroache
with her wallet on the bar
walking home daylight fell
and birds from the trees
spring can be overwhelming
sometimes all you need
is a spoon to make it final
in paradise street

chorus

She’s no ladywriter
burning her tattoos
with some acid from a riser
pain is not exclusive,
and nothing new that frightens her
Waking up in blood from the past,
broken smiles….

Shattering the silence
Busting trough the red light
you may call her a fighter
Like a Phoenix on the rise
in some daily holy rituals
on an inflated bed and chairs
washing the city
out of her hair

chorus 2x instr outro
